Fish and chip shops
The west Highland fishing port and ferry terminal of Mallaig was once the largest herring fishing port in Europe. Today, a variety of fish, prawns, scallops and lobsters are landed at Mallaig, fresh from the sea, so buying yourself a freshly cooked fish supper is a great treat. Most local Mallaig restaurants offer fresh-caught sea-food in their menus.
