If you are looking for outdoor activities in the area you will find a huge selection from which to choose.

The area has some well-known walks and since there are many lochs and coastal shorelines, boats trips and fishing are all available to you.

At Glenfinnan you can take a cruise up Loch Shiel onboard Loch Shiel Cruises vessel. This trip is more scenic and packed with opportunities to spot wildlife. Fishing from a boat on the loch is possible and enquiries should be made at Glenfinnan House Hotel.

At Arisaig, Arisaig Marine & Harbour provides berthing and marine services as well as a great boat trip over to the lovely Small Isles of Eigg, Rum, Muck and Canna. Local guides and activity providers are also available to offer specialist outdoor activities in the area.

From Mallaig, Bruce Watt Sea Cruises operate a sea ferry which will take you to Inverie in Loch Nevis. They also offer sea-fishing trips and private boat charter.  At Inverie you are just about as far away from it all as it's possible to be.  Walking and cycling are easily available and you'll find great food, beer and entertainment in the Old Forge at the end of your day.
